A Palestinian-American teenager after completing nine months in Israeli detention without charge has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old during his detention in February within the occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing while residing in Florida under suspicion of rock throwing against settlement residents, allegations he repeatedly contested.

The US state department said it welcomed the teenager's freedom.

Now sixteen years old, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

According to them, he appears showing signs of malnutrition, and is suffering from conditions acquired while detained.

Via family representatives, the youth's uncle conveyed their "overwhelming sense of relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Currently, we are focused on providing Mohammed with urgent medical care he requires following exposure to Israel's abuse and brutal treatment over several months."

The state department stated they would maintain to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

{"US government authorities gives utmost importance than the safety and security of American nationals"," it added.

A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to the state department and the administration, demanding more be done to secure his release.

The father, with four children managing a frozen treats business in Florida, had earlier stated his child admitted guilt regarding stone throwing because the soldiers beat him.

The father hadn't visited nor direct contact since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively about his son's condition through judicial records.

The teenager remained absent formal charges within Ofer penitentiary in the West Bank.

The facility also contains mature inmates, featuring prisoners sentenced for major terrorist activities including killings.

Many have never been charged along with monitoring agencies, and international organizations, say some have suffered mistreatment and torture.

The dual national youth per medical officials succumbed to assault by radical settlers following tensions last July.

At the time, the Israeli military said authorities were looking into accounts of a Palestinian had been killed.
